I read the book, I ‘dig’ it, but I never truly understood Le Petit Prince.

Well, in my defense, I had never really interacted with a kid till then.

And now that I spend every waking minute with Little B – listening her words, observing her actions and seeing world from her eyes – I feel like I am watching the book unfold right in front of me.

We have enjoyed watching Family Guy together. Actually the feeling is more than enjoy. We actually get a kick out of watching it. Others might consider Seth MacFarlane trashy, we consider him an evil genius. Family Guy is one of ‘OUR’ things that we do together as a couple. It’s like when we feel a little distant from one another, Family Guy brings us back in each other’s arms.

So for this year, we focused our anniversary card making efforts on Family Guy.

I was mesmerized by the mushroom lasagna with tomato cream sauce I had at Barley & Grapes Cafe (Phoenix Marketcity, Bangalore, India) and was desperate to recreate it at home. Soul of lasagna is in its sauce. If I could make a perfect sauce, there’s no doubt about my lasagna being perfect. This led me to make the rich and velvety tomato cream sauce. Now was the time to use that sauce and make me some mushroom lasagna.

For years, IKEA has been my favorite place for aimless walks. Even while I was pregnant, my husband and I spent most of our weekends not at Toys ‘R Us, but at IKEA. And as for pregnancy food whims, I was stuck to their Swedish Almond Cake. I must have had it for at least a dozen times. So much so, many a times we drove for about half an hour just to eat this cake at IKEA!
